The ZZT title screen is the game state which appears after the configuration screen. It displays the first board of the currently-loaded world, and provides options to select and play a world, restore from a saved game, display info about ZZT, list high scores, adjust the game speed, and access the built-in editor.
While in Title Screen mode, the player is replaced by a monitor.
Quirks
- The user can access the ZZT cheat menu on the Title Screen by pressing the pipe key ("|").
- If the first character in the ZZT config file is "*", then the editor is disabled.
- When the user ends a game session and returns to the title screen, their counters and flags will persist. Starting a new game or loading another world will reset them.
