Slimes are creatures which clone themselves across empties and fake floors, leaving breakable tiles in their place. The player can destroy a single slime by touching it, turning it into a breakable. They cannot be harmed by bullets or bomb blasts, though they may incidentally disappear without cloning if they happen to be blocked at the right moment.
Every Cloning threshold cycles, a Slime attempts to replicate in all four cardinal directions. After replication, successful or otherwise, it leaves behind a Breakable of the same color as itself.
